Middletowns Hunter Arrested

The Dayton Daily News reports that Middletown standout defensive back D.J. Hunter was arrested on Tuesday and is facing a felonious assault charge in connection with shooting a teen in the head with a BB gun.
Hunter, 18, has orally committed to play football at Tennessee and is rated by Rivals.com as a four-star recruit and one of the best in the Cincinnati area. He was beginning to weigh his options as signing day approaches, but now Hunter's stock is likely to fall.

He was set to visit Tennessee this weekend and there was talk of an Indiana visit too. This comes on the heels of a recent trip to West Virginia.
Police reports indicate that Hunter was riding in his car with a friend after school and randomly shot at a kid walking down the street. Hunter fired two shots, hitting a 15-year-old boy twice in the face. The boy was transported to the Atrium Medical Center for treatment.
Hunter is scheduled to appear in Middletown Municipal Court on Jan. 21.
