Overview: All the stars aligned perfectly for Fairborn in 2011 as a deep and talented group of seniors guided the school to a share of their first league title since 1979. They knew who they were and where they were going. This fall's version of the Skyhawks will search for an identity right out of the box. Finding it sooner rather than later is a must for another great campaign.

Who steps up to answer the call as leaders will be one of head coach Roy Thobe's biggest concerns. Massive linemen Carson Baker and Anthony Grundy will be called upon to guide the underclassmen. Thobe will ask sophomores Kyle Keeton and Michael Wischer to play bigger roles this fall.

Defensively, Nick Franklin and Kyle Roseborough return on the line. Linebacker Matt Cline is also a three-year starter. He finished with 41 tackles and two fumble recoveries a year ago. Defensive back Lawrence Inman has all the tools to play at the next level. Inman intercepted three balls and was in on 32 tackles as sophomore.
